Privacy Policy
BidetWise is built by David King. This page explains what is collected when you use the site, who collects it, and what is stored in your browser.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical request data (such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies. It records aggregated information such as the page visited, the referring site, country and device type. When you click a link to Amazon, that click is also recorded as a Vercel Web Analytics custom event with the product's Amazon ID (ASIN), where on the page the link was, the type of page, the product's position when it is one of our ranked picks, and a label for the page version shown (used only if we test two versions of a page).
Clicks on Amazon links are counted only through these Vercel Web Analytics custom events. They are cookieless and contain no personal data. We do not keep our own click log.
Fonts and videos
Icon fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google's servers, which receive your IP address. Some pages show YouTube video previews: the preview image is loaded from YouTube's image server, and the video player itself (youtube-nocookie.com) loads only when you click play.
The site has no email sign-up and no other form that collects personal information. An earlier email sign-up was removed in October 2026, and no newsletter is sent. Addresses submitted before then remain in our account with the email provider Resend and in a private archive kept by the site owner. They are not used to send email.
Cookies and browser storage set by this site
The site itself sets no cookies. It stores only these small values in your browser, and none of them contain your name, email or IP address:
theme-preference(local storage): set only if you switch between light and dark mode.sticky-cta-dismissed(session storage): set if you dismiss the mobile "view on Amazon" bar.
Amazon Associates
BidetWise participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program that lets sites earn fees by linking to Amazon.com. When you click a link to Amazon, you leave this site, and Amazon may set cookies in your browser to record that you came from here. Amazon's own privacy notice covers what happens on Amazon.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information, and the site has no user accounts or comment system.
